Whatever department you join, clients rely on the same things from you: careful work, honest time records and clear communication. They keep coming back because they trust the people behind Tooldox. You are now one of those people.
Ask questions early, take pride in your work, and help the person next to you. We're glad you're here.

Hours of work
You work five days and forty hours a week, Monday to Friday, on the shift management assigns based on client needs and business demands.
One hour
Reporting within one hour after your scheduled start is not tardy. You are still expected to make up the time.
One hour, unpaid
Mandatory. It doesn't count toward your 8 productive hours. Clock out when it starts and clock in when you return.
Two × 15 minutes, paid
Take them any time during your shift. Coordinate timing with your supervisor when needed.
No more than 2 hours past shift end
No weekend work either, unless management decides it's necessary for deliverables and approves it in advance.
Tardiness, undertime and absences
Regular attendance is one of your basic obligations. Late arrivals and early departures are recorded as occurrences, even when you make up the time.
Arriving after the 1-hour grace period, or coming back late from your meal break without approval.
Leaving before your shift ends or not completing your hours for the day. Needs prior approval from your supervisor or management.
| Absence situation | What you must do |
|---|---|
| Unscheduled absence | Notify your immediate supervisor or HR at least 2 hours before your shift, or as early as possible in an emergency. |
| More than 4 hours late | Counted as a half-day leave. File it for approval. |
| No notice, no approval | May be treated as unexcused or AWOL. |
| Typhoon or calamity | Lateness may be exempted from the count when management officially recognizes the event. |
Making up time and pay deductions
You owe 40 productive hours a week. Missed time can be made up, but making it up only fixes your hours. It doesn't erase the occurrence.
Hours worked to make up tardiness or undertime are never paid as overtime.
Tardiness and undertime can't be offset against overtime you worked.
Recovered hours don't remove a Habitual Tardiness or Undertime record, which can still lead to progressive discipline.
Leave, sick days and the floating holiday
File leave in advance whenever you can. When you're unwell, rest and recover, but tell your supervisor before your shift starts.
- Notify your immediate supervisor at least 2 hours before your shift.
- For absences of 3 or more days, consecutive or not, get a medical certificate or fit-to-work clearance from an accredited hospital, clinic or licensed physician.
- On your return, submit the certificate and file a sick leave form within 24 hours.
Without the required documents you may be sent home, unpaid until you comply, and face disciplinary action.
- Only for valid, justifiable reasons, with management approval.
- File in advance, except in emergencies.
- Not a substitute for attendance or schedule adherence.
- Excessive use can affect evaluations, regularization and disciplinary standing.
One extra paid day off, used your way
Eligibility
After 1 year of service upon regularization
Approval
Scheduled in advance with your supervisor
Use it
Within the calendar year it's awarded
No carry-over
No cash payout on separation
Remote work
We work on-site. Remote work is allowed only when circumstances reasonably prevent you from coming in, and only with management approval.
Corrective action
Discipline at Tooldox is progressive. Sanctions depend on how serious the offense is, how often it happens and your overall record. All disciplinary records stay in your personnel file.
| Class | Range of corrective action | Offense level |
|---|---|---|
| A | Coaching to Written Reprimand with Warning | Minor |
| B | Written Reprimand with Warning to Final Written Warning or Suspension | Minor to Serious |
| C | Final Written Warning or Suspension to Termination | Serious to Grave |
| D | Termination | Grave |
When an offense stops counting
Minor: 1 year. Serious: 2 years. Grave: never. A repeat offense within the period escalates the sanction and extends the period. The period is continuous, with no gaps.
Your whole record counts
Multiple violations, at once or over time, are weighed together. A clear pattern can be treated more seriously than any single act.
Patterns are reviewed
Repeated infractions across months or predictable misuse of leave may be treated as Habitual Neglect of Duty or Abuse of Company Benefits, up to termination.
Refer to the employee handbook for the full offense list and disciplinary table.
Amendment register
The handbook will change over time. Every change is issued as a numbered amendment. When one is published, everyone reviews it here and signs the acknowledgement again for the new revision.
| No. | Effective | Change | Sections |
|---|

The Precast Department
We deliver precast detailing and BIM projects: 3D Revit models, erection drawings and shop tickets that precast producers fabricate from. The department has two branches.
3D Revit models
Built from the client's architectural, structural and contract drawings.
Erection drawings
Layouts, piece geometry and connections for site erection.
Shop tickets
Piece-by-piece fabrication drawings, with bar lists and BOM.
Who owns what
Every activity has one accountable owner. Others execute or support, and every role works inside a boundary. Never assume signing authority from a title.
No drafting or management position approves structural design, calculations or engineered connection changes. That belongs to the authorized engineer. Internal checks never replace the engineer of record, precaster or client approval, and verbal direction never authorizes redesign or a changed release.
| Activity | Accountable | Executes / supports | Boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Portfolio priorities | L8 Project Director | Senior PM | Executive approves beyond delegated authority |
| Multi-project milestone oversight | L7 Senior PM | Project Manager | Project Director escalates portfolio risks |
| Major project scope & external release | L6 Project Manager | Assistant PM, Technical Lead, Modeling Lead | Engineer approves engineered design |
| Delegated small-project execution | L5 Assistant PM | Modeling & Production Lead | PM keeps formal release, scope and dates |
| Technical guidance & detailed ticket check | L5 Technical Lead / PM-approved checker | Modeling Lead; Detailer II peer support | PM keeps QC oversight and release |
| Daily modeling & ticket batches | L4 Modeling & Production Lead | Assistant Modeler II, Detailer II | No companywide staffing or HR authority |
| Complex model zones & revision mapping | L3 Assistant Modeler II | Assistant Modeler I | Lead/PM approves technical handoff |
| Basic model updates | L2 Assistant Modeler I | Assistant Modeler II coaches | No client or engineer approval |
| Moderate tickets & peer checks | L2 Architectural Detailer II | Detailer I | Checker/PM release process |
| Basic shop tickets | L1 Architectural Detailer I | Detailer II guides | No final checking authority |
| Engineering planning & review coordination | L7 Engineering Manager | Project Engineer II, Project Engineer I | Licensed engineer approves/seals; PM owns external release |
| Engineering calculations & ticket engineering review | L5 Project Engineer II | Project Engineer I | No sealing or engineered change without license and authorization |
| Supervised design support | L4 Project Engineer I | Reviewed by PE II / Engineering Manager | Cannot approve, release or seal |
| Engineered design & connection change | Engineer Authorized engineering | PM, Technical Lead, Lead identify conflicts | Never approved by drafting positions |
Safety or structural issues; missing or unapproved engineering or connection details.
Risk to a date, cost or resources; version conflicts or rework of issued marks.
Unresolved conflicts between teams go to management.
How a project runs
Every project moves through seven phases. Your PM tells you which work package is yours and when it's due; everyone on the team should know both.
Award & handover
Scope, drawings, specs, precaster standards, contacts, team roles.
Setup & kickoff
Controlled folders, client platform, grids. Schedule built backward from client dates.
BIM & erection
Model and erection drawings. RFIs for conflicts. Geometry stable before tickets.
Production detailing
Work packages released. Master tickets first. Daily assignments.
Check & submit
Independent check, correct, recheck, document.
Revisions
Log the change, assess impact, escalate cost or schedule, reissue.
Closeout
Final sets, archive, lessons learned.
Location, reference, the conflict, options, the decision needed and the needed-by date.
A Control_Mark groups identical pieces. A Control_Number is the unique serial of one physical piece.
Checking shop tickets
A quick visual glance is not a technical check. The person who prepared a ticket should never be its only checker.
- Basis: latest approved revision and references
- Identification: mark, quantity, revision
- Geometry: dimensions, openings, clearances
- Connections & inserts: embeds, plates, hardware
- Reinforcement & prestress: bars, mesh, strand
- Erection link: matches the erection drawings
- Constructability: can it be cast and erected?
- BOM & bar list: totals add up
- Close out: comment, return, recheck, document
Sheet, mark and detail, so the drafter can find and fix each one.
Means checked internally. It is not external submission approval.
Check against approved references. Send design questions to your PM.
Your day and revision control
Every precast role follows the same daily rhythm. Every piece of work leaves evidence: a dated dashboard entry, a controlled model or ticket package, an action register or an approved communication.
- Confirm approved incoming documents and revisions
- Review priorities and held work
- Check the dashboard and incomplete checks
- Record blockers with owner, deadline and decision needed
- Record deliverables with document versions
- List work needing review, recheck or on hold
- Give a progress and risk update
- Check workload against milestones
- Review checker errors and root causes
- Track open clarifications
- Agree one measurable improvement
Tools and standards
Tooldox owns the computers and software licenses you use. Use them for Tooldox work only, and never install software or scripts without approval.
| Tool | What you use it for | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Autodesk Revit | Models, erection drawings, shop tickets | Company license |
| PCToolbox | Tooldox Revit automation tools | Approved versions only |
| AutoCAD · Navisworks | Client CAD files, model review | Company license |
| Revit Server | Central models shared by the team | Office network or VPN |
| Bluebeam Studio · ACC / BIM 360 | Client markups and project files | Invite from PM or client |
| Production Dashboard | Assignments, piece status, drawn-by and checked-by | Tooldox login |
Work in your own model
Link reference models into your host model and manage visibility and worksets from there. Don't edit someone else's file.
Verify, report, don't deploy
Check tool output. Report bugs with the version and steps to reproduce. Never run unapproved scripts on live projects.
Career paths in Precast
In Project Management, two entry tracks meet at Modeling & Production Lead, then split into a technical track and a delivery track. Engineering has its own ladder. Progression requires documented performance, not tenure alone.
There is no L6 engineering post. Engineering titles never imply professional licensure; sealing and formal approval stay with an appropriately licensed, authorized engineer.
Months 3, 6, 9, 12
Baseline at assignment, monthly check-ins, formal reviews quarterly. Every rating needs a real project example, a reviewer and dated evidence.
1–5, minimum 3.0
Weighted average across your role's competencies, with at least 3.0 in every core competency. A high score never offsets a safety, integrity or approval-boundary failure.
Evidence plus need
Needs a vacancy, business need, sustained quality, communication, mentoring and scope discipline. Executive and HR control formal job changes.
Your role
Select the position in your contract. This is your job description in short: what you own, how your day runs, where your limits are and how you're measured.
The Inventory Department
Our inventory team supports an online auto-parts business: identifying and recording dismantled parts, and looking after customers, offers, returns and shipping.
Your role
Select the position in your contract to see your duties, workflow and how you're measured.
Working rules
Verify, record, escalate. A wrong part record or an unauthorized promise costs the client money and trust.
- Check that images and instructions are enough before you encode
- Flag uncertain parts instead of guessing
- Check for duplicates and keep a change trail
- Answer customers with verified information and log every promise
- Keep eBay offers within approved pricing guidelines
- Invent missing part data or fitment
- Update a status that wasn't provided or authorized
- Commit to refunds, disputes or nonstandard terms without escalating
- Put social media tasks ahead of customer cases
- Share customer or company data outside approved systems
Daily standards and reviews
Every support role uses the same daily checklist and quarterly review.
The Admin Department
Admin keeps the company running for everyone else: every employee hired properly, paid correctly and able to work without interruption.

HR and Finance share payroll. HR validates time, leave and overtime; Finance computes, files and pays. Discrepancies are resolved between the two before anything is finalized.
IT: systems we run
IT keeps every department connected and secure. Changes to servers, network or licenses go through IT only.
